A life of public humiliation

My performance piece includes pictures of myself during and after having an epileptic seizure. These pictures are taken from my sculpture art class in the mornings. This particular seizure activity took place on Tuesday May 15th. My main reason for doing this as my performance piece is to show people what its like to have a seizure and give them an outlook as to what I deal with on a day to day basis, (although this does no justice). Also, I wanted these spells captured in attempt to show people the humiliation that comes with having epilepsy and the fact that the convulsions can happen anywhere around anyone. It was a hard project to do because of the fact that I never know when these seizures are going to happen, so it was hard to get the camera in time to capture. My project was public in the art room. The students in my art class are used to seeing my spells so they no longer see it as a huge thing, but when I am somewhere else like a restaurant for instance, I tend to get remarks from children who do not know what is happening, and people sometimes panic and ask if i need medical attention. Ambulances are often called when in public.
